We are committed to championing and enacting inclusivity and diversity in the creative sector and aim to reflect this in all our shows - on and off screen.

We provide training and development for new entrants to the TV industry. In addition to offering work experience, we also participate in several schemes to encourage under-represented groups to join our industry including, but not limited to:

Strive

The programme is designed to provide BAME students living or studying in Bristol with a paid, cross-sector four-week internship. We joined the pilot scheme in 2021 and will continue to support the scheme this year.

The UWE Futures scheme is a talent collaboration, work experience, and mentoring initiative created by the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) in partnership with leading regional employers. They aim to improve diversity in Bristol industusries.

This scheme looks to promote inclusivity and diversity in global television production by providing “a clear path for a new generation of people” interested in working behind the camera.

Wildscreen Environmental Storytellers

Wildscreen Environmental Storytellers is a one-year employability initiative designed to support UK-based young people aged 18–30 from underrepresented backgrounds into careers within the wildlife film, conservation, and environmental communications sectors.

‘Bristol Creates’ is made by young Plimsoll film makers featuring Bristol’s first Poet Laureate, Miles Chambers. The film was integral to Bristol’s bid for the C4 hub.
