Martha Holmes lead the Natural History and Adventure departments at Plimsoll Studios from the company’s inception.  Having recently stepped down as a full-time employee, she remains on the Plimsoll Board in an advisory and consulting role.

During her tenure at Plimsoll, Martha co-created and executive produced a wide range of shows for streamers and broadcasters alike including Secret Garden (BBC1), the multi-Emmy winning A Real Bug’s Life (Disney+), Tiny World (Apple TV+), Nightmares of Nature (Netflix), and Force of Nature (ITV). Her output included hosted series including Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold (Disney+) and Life at the Extreme with Davina McCall (ITV).

Prior to joining Plimsoll from the BBC Natural History Unit, Martha’s credits included the highly acclaimed series Blue Planet and Life. Martha, who has a PhD in marine biology, is known for her polar and marine experience, and her passion and innovation in all areas of wildlife filmmaking.
